Healing Pet and Animal Crystals

These crystals placed in your home environment can help you and your pet to reduce stress and fear, to balance emotions, to energize the physical body, to clear energy blockages, to calm the mind, and to reach expanded states of consciousness. Healing animals requires a very strong and centered mind. An animal’s mind is not like a human’s. Humans relate to pain. Animals react to pain. Any fear you carry inside you can also be sensed by an animal and amplified by the crystals. It is important to be balanced, centered, grounded, and have good intentions before you attempt these crystal healing techniques. Crystals tend to amplify the effects, and you will need to be cautious until you determine how your pet will react.

When you work on your pet, know when enough is enough. Watch for "tell-tail" signs: tail swishing, foot stamping, ears back, teeth-baring, hair-raising, attempts to flee, and other warning signals. Be prepared to slow down or to stop the healing altogether. Crystal healing can sometimes be too fast for the animal to integrate, or be too intense and may cause pain and other discomfort. As crystal energy promotes rapid healing, easing off may help alleviate the stress caused by a healing crisis. When the healing is good, the animal will show signs of comfort and affection, such as eye-lids drooping, teeth gnashing, drooling, general softening of muscle tissues, and sighing.

Crystals have been known to have healing powers for centuries. It is believed that more and more people are opening up to the use of crystals as pet therapy. Including some veterinarians. Dr. Carvel Tiekart, a veterinarian in Bel Air, Maryland and executive director of the America Holistic Veterinary Medical Association says that Journal of the AHVMA recently printed a story on the history of principles of crystal healing. It’s an alternative." Tiekart says, "My mission is to shoe the beauty of what God has created in stones. Whether you believe in their healing power or not, you're going to receive it. Many people that it's a placebo type of thing, but dogs and cats don't have any beliefs about it: you just see the results. "Crystals seem to have a place, but exactly where that is, I don't know. " He continues. "Like a lot of alternative techniques, the bulk of information is anecdotal. We really don't have the answers on how they work. But crystals do fit the Hippocratic dictum: (use of crystals) doesn't hurt if it doesn’t work, which is more that we can say for some of our conventional approaches.

Animals are able to receive the healing benefits of crystals as well as humans. Various stones produce different effects shown through your animal's behavior the effects of each on pet energies, essentially the same as those on humans. Rose quartz for example is good for a pet that has been wounded or recently had surgery, as it surround it with love and healing vibrations, according to leading writers in the field, such as Melody, who wrote "Love is in the Earth" (Earth-Love Publishing House)

As we explore the properties of all the stones of our planet, we discover calming, rejuvenating, and strengthening qualities, a distinct "personality" for each kind of stone. Now dogs, cats, birds,- iguanas and fish if you like, can benefit from stones. Using an easy slip-on-the-collar method of providing your four-legged pet with crystals, or a wire wrap for the side of a cage, successes have already been reported.

Amber is known to relax high-strung and hyperactive individuals, as rose quartz breaks bad habits and aids kidney and bladder problems. Place an Amethyst, or Rose Quartz or other crystals, underneath your pet-friend’s bed or pillow for up to two weeks. Be cautious of sharp edges and position the stones to be comfortable and safe for your pet. If the crystal energy is too intense, your pet will be agitated and may not want to rest in their bed. If your pet likes the crystals, you will see an improvement in their health within a few days.

Hold the crystal in your hand, and starting a few inches away from the affected part or injured area, rotate the crystal clock-wise. Take your time, go slow, breathe gently and evenly. Animals express their emotions with movement, so watch if your pet wants more or tries to move away.

Warm up crystals in the sun before your healing session. The sun gives masculine, active yang energy to the crystals. Apply the warm crystals to injured areas. If you are using an ice bag to reduce swellings, try a few tumbled Smokey Quartz with the ice to help unblock over-active or inflamed areas.

Add a Rose Quartz or Amethyst to your pet-friend’s water bowl or bucket (but make sure they can not swallow it). The crystal will leave its energy signature in the water and, when ingested, the energy will go where it is most needed.

The following are some suggestions for using crystals for healing pets and animals. However, if you put too many crystals around your pet they may feel disoriented. As always, seek the best available competent medical advice for your pet or animal. It is not intended information to replace the advice of a professionally qualified veterinary.
